#2 – AGILITY LADDER
Our second gift recommendation of the season is an agility ladder! raise your hand if you’ve used this piece of equipment before 🙋🏽♀️ this small piece of equipment really packs a punch! as a society, we’ve heard a ton about strength training at home, but the agility ladder helps with CARDIO/ENDURANCE as well as COORDINATION! Let me ask, who doesn’t want more coordination?

#3 – SWISS BALL
Our third home exercise equipment recommendation is a swiss ball! incorporating this into your workout is a great way to add CORE STRENGTHENING without doing a single sit-up (unless you want to do sit-ups with it 🤷🏽♀️ Totally up to you!) A swiss ball is a great way to add another level to exercises you’re already doing. Are bicep curls too easy?? Try sitting on a Swiss ball and work your balance while you lift! #4 – BOSU
Next is a bosu! This is a very dynamic piece of equipment that we love to use in our clinic. The bosu is great for balance training, stability, and is incredibly versatile. You can use it on the flat side or flip it over and use the round side! It’s also an excellent tool to help work your CORE. Click HERE to see Jen show off some exercises you can try on your BOSU!
# 5 – FOAM ROLLER
Foam rolling is very popular and can be a great piece to add to your stretching routine. It can help with muscle soreness and tightness and a great way to perform self-myofascial release, giving you a similar effect to a deep tissue massage. ((There are a few conditions in which foam roller may not be appropriate, so if you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to talk with your physical therapist!)) Click HERE to see some ways to use your FOAM ROLLER to help your posture and bring relief to your lower body.
#6 – TRX
Our sixth recommend is for the TRX! If there’s a single piece of equipment that would benefit you the most, it’s the TRX! This uses body weight resistance to build strength, so no bulky weights to worry about. It’s also incredibly versatile! You can work just about any muscle group with this. And last of all, JEN LOVES THE TRX! If that’s not enough reason to get one, I don’t know what to tell you!
Basically, the TRX is fantastic because it’s super simple, small, and mobile-a great choice for people who don’t have a lot of space to store equipment! Click HERE to see some ways to use your TRX!
#7 – PILATES BALL
Our next home exercise equipment recommendation is a Pilates Ball! Now, some people might picture a large inflatable ball (also known as a Swiss Ball. Check out our post on that!) but this is a smaller, 7-9 inch ball that you can incorporate into your workouts. Using a Pilates Ball helps create good alignment, especially with squats! It also activates more muscles during workouts, creating better body awareness and toning your entire body. Click HERE to see some ways to use your Pilates Ball!
